So, I ve been trying this and that, a few games, and I think I ll finally go for Champions Online. It's good fun so far, and quite different to the average mmo.
The introduction to the game mechanics is very good. You basically start kicking ass from the very beginning, and start discovering all the details while you do quests around. No lag, plenty of ppl playing, no bugs detected so far... You can purchase it via digital download (quite cheap btw).
When I ve been there for a bit longer I ll give you some more detailed impressions/report. As I said, so far looks very good.

Well, now I am level 35. Since the lvl cap is 40, I should see the end-game quite soon.

So far it has been plenty of fun. No grinding, no long fights. This is a very fast paced and fun game. Don't look for long and complex raids and boss fights here. It is very casual, many dungeons can be completed in about 10 minutes. You got shitloads of them tho.

Often you don't even need to look for quests here. It's the NPCs the ones looking for you and providing you the quests. And you don't even need to hand those quests back, you get the experience instantly as soon as the quest is finished.

So you won't get tons of lore, depth and inmersion here. It's all about quick and easy fun, and lots of it.

I don't see this game as the kind of game that will keep you hooked for years, like Lotro was, but it will definitively provide crazy fun for some months if that's what you are after.

Its strongest point is character customization. There are no classes or archetypes. Basically there are shitloads of different skills and "traits" and you choose which ones to pick as you level up. Whatever kind of character you want to do, you can do it. You can also customize your appearance down to the very last bit. You will never come across any toon like you if you really want to.

Well, I ve already been doing some end-game instances...

And they are sick fun. Very fast fights where you have to react really quick. Hectic. Healing there is madness.

I feel a bit nooby atm, but ppl congratulate me for the healing, so I guess I am learning quick.

And there's plenty of stuff to do.
